Review:
Thor is much better than I expected. I do not know if they can draw a balance between the Norse mythology stuff and the real world of the Marvel Universe. I shouldve known better because Marvel knows their characters and knows what we want to see. Spider-Man set a new standard for the superhero film genre back in the day. Iron Man upped the ante. Thor take the ball and run with it and places a higher bar. I hope to see more and know that it will do well enough to be a worthy successor because word of mouth will be great. Believe me when I say Thor REALLY IS good as Iron Man, and the most worthy to be called one of the biggest adjustments ever.Chris Hemsworth as the Norse god Thor, and Tom Hiddleston as the villainous brother Loki shows that they have the ability to act and star quality to be the names of the mega-tent of the future. Marvel found two absolute diamond in the rough. The two actors make a huge impact and beautiful on the screen. You know Acedemy Award winners Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman will take it, but this relative unkowns more than holding their own on the screen. I know the script was written most of them, but they carry a big way. From what I've read, removed Hemsworth and Hiddleston almost a year before filming this story, they have time to get in shape and do character research. They are certainly not this time Marvel greats proud. Intelligent comic book popcorn epics are rare, and this is definitely a cut above the usual fare.
