Review:
I went to a movie with the belief that it would be cheesy, campy romp with the same tried-and-true tricks of the trade, such as when the hero explores the creepy music coming from the basement and a cat jumps into the frame, but I quickly discovered that this was not the case with stealth. After watching the move and obsessing about it about 12 hours now, I can honestly say its one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Indeed, several points during the film where I screamed like a girl aged 13-Justin Bieber concert. Keep in mind, I was aware of trying my best to keep my composure, mainly because I was sitting next to my new friend in the 2 months. Hello, by the way, do not make a peep, thankfully, I later learned that she had her eyes closed the whole time. I also expect to see some blood and guts, especially coming from the guys who made Saw, but did not drop. Instead, they use just about everything else in their arsenal to scare the bejesus out of me and everyone else in the theater (my girlfriend included). From literally the opening credits, they create an intense magical strain did not leave my body till several whiskeys and half a Xanax later. And the movie constantly feeds that tension, making even an ordinary family life some characters seem quite daunting. I was actually exhausted leaving the theater from every uncomfortable squirming I can control it. I would say that I've never been the biggest calorie burning while watching a movie (well, PG-13 movies at least). Overall, the movie is great. It was crazy scary, thoroughly entertaining, and even surprisingly funny at times. This means that there will be some time before I watch another horror movie, I do not wish to be turned into a frazzled bundle of nerves again anytime soon. So if you're planning to see this movie, please consider this a cautionary reminder: it's probably best to go with someone whos already see that you have a complete physical and mental impairment while driving home to avoid from embarrassment. And maybe bring Xanax as well.
