Review:
Tyler Perry takes on the character Alex Cross and failed miserably. Even though he's hardly the only culprit here. The problem starts with the writing, which is nothing less than sad. All main characters are one dimensional without any development. Pattersons novel is condensed into a stereotyped and predictable plot, where you can see trouble coming a mile away. No development of the villain, because he does what he does and why a paid assassin to make choices that he makes. Time makes absolutely no sense in this movie. Events must have occurred during a period libëru this movie condensed down to minutes. I have not seen a movie in a while I've been told myself You've got to be kidding me several times because the scene was so unacceptable. Rob Cohens direction is nothing short of terrible. The action scenes are so vague that you can not tell who is hitting whom. When no action scenes, the rest of the film is talking heads Movie Made for Television 70. Flat out stinks acting (with the exception of a brief appearances Cicely Tyson and Giancarlo Esposito). No chemistry with Perry and Ed burns and no chemistry between villain (Matthew Fox) and Perry. The result sounds more like a movie film week 70. The only redeeming value I find in this movie is the location. There were some beautiful uses of buildings in Detroit movie. Otherwise, do not waste your time.
