Review:
I'll start right off the cuff. Niccol is one of the writer / director I prefer. In fact, one of my favorite movies Gattaca, was so underrated over the years since its release. For me the power plant was big science fiction writer, so it will be that I was hoping for something quality.Alas, with Over time, a thinker not a real dream. He paints a world where time is money. That is not what the new idea, but will not succeed in moving Niccols metaphor as a commodity. Those with the time-rich, those times are not poor. A simplified analogy. Niccols as in other movies, cinematography is beautiful. The best actors in the film are not the main characters, and Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser, and (surprisingly) Alex Pettyfer present more interesting characters. All they shine, especially Murphy. The movie seems like one long car chase, when what you really want to delve into the complexities of them - on the debate between the characters themselves on issues of world they live in any intelligent conversation took place between anyone. Murphy is great actor, and I would be interested to see the debate about right and wrong turn gray after some thought. The world is not black and white. Final film is unreal and I'm wondering if this was the end or termination of Niccol producers wanted to boost sales. Unfortunately, this film could have been so much more. It was a good topic. It had some great actors, but it was not possible, because the story is lost nuance and complexity to satisfy the lowest common denominator rather than raise questions or the audience to think critically. See, but be prepared to be disappointed. Not thin.
