Review:
If you are not a fan of Rob Zombie passport and maybe even more so if you're a fan. Rob Zombies latest trek into genre territory is a bag of mixed results, mostly working in my opinion. Centering on a radio host in Salem, sent Heidi Hawthorne an email from a local band called Lords. As soon as the music comes to a quirky, seductive trance set in the cities of female residents. And Heidi begins to experience strange events as horrific visions and strange going ons in the apartment next to hers. The movie you are about witches. But not Ya witches who have populated screens and literature as of late these are old school hardcore, nasty, extremely nasty, dirty, medieval witches. It culminates everything in a ghostly, fever dreamesque finals, which will disturb and even make you giggle a little. Rob Zombie is proud to create a thick, smoked aged atmosphere. The film is saturated in grainy film makes it feel like an old school late 70s horror film, and is saturated with mood drip colors from neon reds to electric blues. The film is shot beautifully with panning shots and wonderfully imaginative angles, and all mixed together with a trancey well fitted points. But it is not all good and most of it has to do with the films budget. Zombie strives to make low budget films work, but only 2.5 million its too much of a feat indeed and even the ambitious, you can feel the inevitable budgetary Limit Twitter : Restrictions that stunt his creative workload. So even if the strange and eerie in spots, you can not help but giggle at the film more special effects sequences that come off Hammy and fake looking. As usual, the performances pretty solid across the board. Many have complained about his wife was in the lead, but she does well enough with it, although she is a bit limited by her character development and her overall experience. The really good here besides the beautiful witch sisters Dee Wallace Stone, Patricia Quinn and Judy Geeson is Meg Foster as the lead witch. She is nasty looking a long away from his strange but seductive seductive roles in the 80s that Evil Lynn in Masters of the Universe, and they live, but she commits helhjä; rtat to it.
